Good afternoon it is a mild day at
the old ball park. Talking to you is
Frankie Walker. If you are just joining
us this is the final game of the season and the Lumberjacks and Giants are tied
in the standings. The last game of the
season is a wild one.
Lumberjacks are down five to four
going in to the ninth inning. During the
break the Lumberjacks put in their closer in.
His name is Jack Robinson. Now
when the giants saw that figure on the mound they thought it was
sasquatch. The huge skyscraper almost touches the sky. The monster was intimidating to everyone that
looks at him. The hairy beast is only 6
feet 11 inches. The batter is Quarto
Lopez he stands in as 5 feet 11 inches.
Quarto is one foot shorter than Jack.
Now when it come to Quarto he his
fast as car but he can’t hit the ball if it was a volleyball. But now this time there was magic in his
eyes. Jack wound up and though the ball
at a blistering speed. All Quarto could
do was jump back. Ball one! Jack brushed that off. This time he put it in the middle. Quarto hit the ball it when high and
deep. The ball took a path of its
own. It start fair and then went foul
and then far and foul. Now at this time
Quarto was almost at Third. The ball
ended up landing foul by a half foot.
Now after that Jack struck out the side.
The Giants have hit the ball great
today. The Giants have had 10 hits. The
Lumberjacks have their best players coming up to bat. Now the player are David Bentley, Jonny Ball,
Michael Jordon. After that is the top of
the lineup. If the Lumberjacks can do it
Billy Johnson. He know as Home Run
Billy. David hit a bullet though the
gap. Now David was sitting on
first. Jonny hit the ball right to
center fielder. Now Michael hit one high
and deep but ended up to be foul. The
count is three two. Now the ball comes
in there and strike 3. What screams
Michael. That was a strike son. No it wasn’t.
You are ejected. What? You heard me.
Michael walked off the field in rage.
The
crowd starts chanting Billy Billy Billy Billy.
Billy walks up to the plate.
David is on first two outs. The
first pitch almost though Billy out if his shoes. Ball one.
The next was in there for strike one.
Billy though the pitch was a ball.
The crowd screamed boo. It was a wall
of sound coming from the crowd. Now the pitcher wound up and Billy swung right
through it. Strike two yelled the ump. Now it came down to this two strikes one ball.
Somewhere
far far way people are having fun and laughing but not for the Lumberjack the
great Home Run Billy stuck out.
