Summer Grass
Summer grass aches and whispers
It wants something; it calls and sings; it pours
out wishes to the overhead stars.
The rain hears; the rain answers; the rain is slow
coming; the rain wets the face of the grass. In Summer grass there is up and downs. In the beginning the grass aches. Then in middle it calls the rain and even sings to it. Then the rain finally comes.
In the first line were the summer grass aches and
whispers is dark. It is like the grass it dying. The grass would be crunchy and
brown. All it needs is some water to revive it. When the grass aches
it is suffering. The dying grass is
almost dead.
The second line has a lot of desperation and mystery. When it says "It wants something:; it calls and sings it is mystery because you don't really know what it wants, or calling. It really feels dark and it sounds like a snake charmer song, by charming the snake.
The third line has a lot of desperation just like the second line. It feels like a plead and hoping to get the rain. When is says "wishes to the overhead stars" it desperate for the rain to come. If the rain doesn't come it would die. The grass is like saying its final words. If the rain come it will revive it.
The fourth line is mystery for if the rain will come until you read to the rain is slow. That is were it starts to get happy. When it says "rain hears: the rain answers" is if the rain doesn't want to come. Then the rain comes when it says " the rain is slow."
The fifth line is happy and peaceful. When it says wets the face of the grass it is peaceful because the rain is revising the grass. It is happy because the rain it making it the grass green again. If the rain did come the grass would be dead. It ending was the best part in my eyes it was happy.
